History

Founded by Henri Nestle in 1867
We owe more than our name, our logo and our first infant-food product to our founder. Henri Nestlé embodied many of the key attitudes and values that form part and parcel of our corporate culture: pragmatism, flexibility, the willingness to learn, an open mind and respect for other people and cultures. |
Major Australian Brands
Our survey of 26 people from a range of age groups concluded that some people are unaware of how broad Nestle's range of products is. On the contrary, some people are unaware of the products that nestle does not produce, like Cadbury Cherry Ripe chocolate bars and White Wings baking products. A majority of people knew that Milo, Nescafe and Kit Kat, the most popular Australian Nestle brands, were produced by Nestle.

Creating Shared Value
As one of the biggest companies in the world, Nestle feels obligated to deliver nutrition, rural development, humans right, water efficiency and environmental sustainability to society. Nestle founded a 'Creating Shared Value' program, creating 38 commitments regarding current issues, with a goal of meeting all commitments by 2020.

Creating Shared Value is a fundamental part of Nestlé's way of doing business that focuses on specific areas of the Company's core business activities – water, nutrition, and rural development – where value can best be created both for society and shareholders. |
